Safety:
Incorporated into every holster is that the trigger and trigger guard is coved to avoid a stray finger or object from discharging the weapon. The boned fit of the holster to the weapon greatly diminishes the ability of any one else to draw the weapon except the wearer and give the weapon a crisp release from the holster when drawn.
Concealment:
The low signature of any weapon whether a Glock or Kel-Tek is the ultimate goal. To reduce bulk and a spongy fit Michael's holsters are not lined. With a lined holster, once the liner is worn-out the holster is useless. The best angle to draw from a holster is to have the stock of the pistol parallel to the belt, but this also allows the stock to easily signature on a cover garment. Michael builds in forward angle based on the length of the stock. For example, a full size 1911 will have a greater forward angle than a J-frame. The position of the forward angle keeps the stock close to the wearers body. The front and rear belt loops are kept short so to reduce the overall size of the holster. Every holster is designed to have a smooth transition from front to rear, reducing the chances of drawing attention to your weapon.
Performance:
In a conflict, when running, walking or even sitting down it is imperative to have the confidence that your side arm is secure at your side but still ready for instant action with a deliberate firm straight crisp pull on the stock. The hand boning on the body of Michael' holsters is not just decorative but creates retention of the weapon without the use of a thumb-break. The interior of each holster is polished smooth to ensure a clean release of your weapon. The weapon stock is kept clear and fully exposed for a clean positive grip. For stability, the belt loops shouldn't be larger than your belt to ensure the holster does not rise when your pistol drawn.
Comfort:
Comfort should always be considered. Unlike plastic and fabric holsters, a properly designed leather holster holds close to the body, conforms to the wearer, and moves with you. It becomes one with the body. Your satisfaction with Michael Kole's holsters is 100% guaranteed.
Recommended for all the concealment holsters is a 1 1/2 inch belt of top grain 9-10 oz. leather.
Not all holsters are created alike. The first time you belt up one of Michael Kole's holsters it will not be your last.
